DIY Vermicompost Bin

Presented by UME Master Gardeners Start a small worm composting system and learn how to scale it up for a community garden.  Attendees will learn the steps of successful composting with worms and will go home with their own starter worm bin.  No experience is necessary.  Tools and supplies will be provided.  Skill Level: Beginner Fee:  $15 (cash or check) covers the cost of a wormbin to take home. Weed & Invasive Removal for Green Sites

Presented by Parks & People Clearing a site for a community greenspace project is more than just pulling weeds.  Learn the best practices for how to properly clear a site of weeds, invasive plants, and debris.  Attendees will put their newfound knowledge into practice with a guided invasive pull on-site.  Skill Level: Beginner Optional Fee:  $20 covers the cost of an invasive removal kit to take home (Must pre-register for kit) RSVP by December 6th
