On April 1, Parks & People is launching the 100 Book Challenge Donation Drive! We are hoping to fill our SuperKids Camp library with 100 new books by May 1 and we need your help.
Every summer, we welcome more than 500 SuperKids campers to participate in the 100 Book Challenge. They are encouraged to read during at least an hour a day both at camp and at home. Counselors track the reading and the kids who read the most books win prizes at the end of summer.
For our own challenge, the Youth Programs team has put together a curated list on Amazon of children’s books that support our camp curriculum and mission. We are asking our friends to help us stock our shelves with a total of 100 of these books. Throughout April, we’ll show you our progress and tell you more about our SuperKids Camp curriculum.
