Paid Internship & Summer Job Program

Branches is an after-school paid internship and workforce development program for Baltimore City high-schoolers, with a focus on exploring green careers.

Your Pathway to Green Careers in Baltimore and Beyond.

  1. COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS

    Participate in weekly college and career readiness sessions highlighting pathways to successful employment.

  2. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

    Financial literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, and team cohesion are only a few of the things you’ll practice.

  3. EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS

    Explore Baltimore’s parks and outdoor spaces while using science and recreation to practice environmental stewardship.

Branches FAQ’s

  • The Branches program meets Monday- Thursday, 4:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. Branches will start on February 12, 2024 with a required Family Orientation. The Spring session ends on May 30, 2024.

  • The Branches program takes place at the Parks & People campus (2100 Liberty Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21217).

  • Branches offers opportunities to try new things, a chance to enjoy time with friends, and adds valuable experience to your resume that employers want to see. Additionally, you can earn service learning hours during in-person sessions.

  • All Branches participants must be a Baltimore area high school student, be able to apply for a work permit and be able to attend all in-person scheduled sessions.
