Celebrating 40 years at Picnic in the Park 2024

Parks & People held its annual fundraiser, Picnic in the Park, on September 20th, 2024. Our green campus in West Baltimore was illuminated for an evening of celebration. Attendees celebrated 40 years of improving Baltimore through green space and education with live entertainment, food from local vendors, open bars, dancing, & on-site screen printing from The Kreative Print Shop.

During the event, awards were presented to NaTasha Norton, Senior Vice President-Regional Community Development Manager, Truist; Reginald Moore, Executive Director, Baltimore City Recreation and Parks; Cristina Saenz de Tejada, US Director of Community Partnership Program, Friends School of Baltimore.

Live jazz was performed by Sac Au Lait. Vendors included Eleven Courses, Ekiben, Hue Café, Brick N Fire, and Taharka Brothers Ice Cream. Entertainment was provided by Koko Brothers Entertainment and The Baltimore Twilighters Marching Band. The 2024 Picnic in the Park awards were crafted by Rybak Woodworking.
